Enzo Valentino is a character role-played by Timmac.

General Information[]

NYPD[]

Enzo held a prominent position as an Officer of the NYPD. Additionally, he played a crucial role as a member of the gang unit based in Brooklyn,

As a member of the gang unit, Enzo diligently fulfilled his responsibilities, which involved conducting undercover operations, executing sting operations, and participating in raids to uncover and seize illegal drug and weapon stashes. He played a crucial role in executing covert operations aimed at infiltrating influential gangs and even crime syndicates in Brooklyn, thereby significantly impacting their operations and dismantling their criminal networks.

His relentless efforts were aimed at maintaining public safety within the community, ensuring that innocent people remained out of harm's way and away from the crossfire.

He faithfully served the NYPD for an entire decade.

LSPD[]

Enzo was previously a Captain for the Los Santos Police Department, Badge #208.

Enzo Valentino was widely regarded by his subordinates and the general public as the most responsible captain within the department. Despite not seeking personal power, he consistently found himself in situations where he felt overburdened, carrying out HC duties diligently and often single-handedly or with limited assistance from command and non-command members. Enzo's goal was to foster a sense of unity and familial bond within the department.

He accepted an invitation to join the United States Marshals Service.

Personality[]

Enzo possesses a strong sense of determination and resilience. Enzo is highly committed to his work and exhibits a workaholic mentality. He doesn't hesitate to be blunt when needed. When confronted by individuals who treat him poorly, he may reciprocate with a certain level of hostility. However, he offers assistance to those who treat him respectfully and without condescension.

Enzo's sense of humor can be both inappropriate and amusingly cheesy with his occasional dad jokes.

Despite him being initially labeled as an "asshole", people who take the time to know him eventually discover a different side to his personality.

In professional matters, he refrains from pushing or escalating situations to prevent further complications, unless he believes that there is little to no hope for reconciliation or finding common ground with someone. In personal matters, he tries to find compromise, if he can and always be the reasonable person, when the other person is can't. Once a situation is resolved, he doesn't linger or dwell on it unnecessarily.

Enzo struggles with welcoming change in his life. He enjoys contemplating the future and anticipating any potential trouble he might encounter, both professionally and personally, as he prefers to be prepared for any situation. He is also a territorial person, especially in romantic relationships. After his family got murdered, he developed a strong urge to protect those he cares about.

Enzo feels anxious to speak in crowds of more than three people, so he stays quiet if possible.

Background information[]

Enzo grew up in Brooklyn, NY. He served as an officer in the NYPD.

He was married to Gina Valentino, and they had a son together.

In a heartbreaking turn of events in 1982, Enzo's wife, Gina, and their 10-year-old son, Tommy, fell victim to gang violence, resulting in their tragic deaths. Enzo was left devastated by this profound loss.

Overwhelmed by the shattering event, he withdrew into silence for two years. Realizing self-pity wouldn't help anyone, he resolved to uncover those responsible. Driven by unwavering determination, he sought justice. Taking matters into his own hands, he joined a gang unit to infiltrate the world of organized crime, seeking direct street-level information about his family's fate. He found the person who was responsible.

Enzo ensured that the responsible perpetrator faced punishment. He has never revealed the truth about the retribution to anyone except those he is truly close to.

With the support of the gang unit, he completely takes down the gang to which the perpetrator belonged, known as "Bricks", ensuring that they could no longer cause harm.

After achieving justice, he went deep undercover for an Italian family crime syndicate. However, his true identity as a cop was exposed, leading him to flee the city.

He chose to fly to Los Santos and start over.

Running for Chief of Police

May 19th, 1985 to May 23rd, 1985 - Running for Chief of Police

The initial idea was for Harper to run for the position of Chief of Police. However, upon learning that William White was also running for Chief of Police, Enzo and Joe decided to run as well. Their reasons stemmed from a place of genuine concern that the council might select an unqualified candidate. They felt that the council held negative opinions about Harper. Harper wasn't bothered by their decision to run alongside her because she knew that the three of them would be the ones working together as a team to address the issues within the police department.

May 19th, 1985

The first round of interviews took place on May 19th, 1985. Interviews were conducted in front of the council. Jilly Rizzo introduced the candidates, while Attorney General Salvatore Greco was asking the most questions.

During the interview, Enzo emphasized several key points He proposed:

  • having an assistant to manage operations, with captains feeding information to the assistant and their assigned branches within the department, such as investigations, gang task force, general scene control, command, and personnel;
  • captains need to have a couple of sergeants and lieutenants to delegate responsibilities;
  • importance of officer training;
  • highlighted his experience collaborating with various entities such as the Department of Justice, lawyers, legislators, mayors' offices, and town halls in different cities;
  • drew attention to the flaws he observed in the way this city operates;
  • need for legislation like Stand-your-ground law, property laws, and commercial law;
  • expressed his willingness to collaborate with all branches of the government;
  • emphasized his firsthand experience on the streets of Brooklyn and in deep-cover operations.

Enzo has gone off-duty a couple of times to see how the streets operate. He also mentioned his strong relationships with his fellow officers, who respect and even look up to him, and his zero tolerance for disrespect.

Then they asked questions and presented him with various scenarios to assess his problem-solving skills.

They didn't know at the time that Riggs was also running for the Chief of Police position.

Following the interviews,
within the next 48 hours,
the candidates who advanced to the second and final rounds
were informed by Jilly Rizzo via a letter.

Enzo, Joe, Harper, and Riggs made it to the last round.

May 22nd, 1985

In the final round of interviews, Harper went first, followed by Riggs, then Enzo, and Joe. While Enzo was waiting for his turn, people approached him and told that among all the candidates' first interviews, the council liked his the most.

Enzo's interview took place in front of four council members. During his interview, Enzo was asked about his plans for the first 30 days as Chief of Police.

He outlined his strategy, which included:

  • building public confidence;
  • establishing an Internal Affairs (IA) department;
  • conducting training;
  • organizing public relations meetings;
  • strengthening the command structure;
  • assigning leaders to specific areas of responsibility ;
  • enforcing accountability.

The interviewers also presented Enzo with various problem-solving scenarios to evaluate his ability to handle challenging situations.

CoPRejectionLetter

The following day,
Enzo woke up and went straight to the Post Office,
where he discovered that he had been rejected
for the position of Chief of Police.

Instead, Harper was accepted and became the Chief of Police. However, prior to this outcome, Harper had already expressed her intention to make Enzo a captain and offered him her previous position as captain within the department.

Maurice hid a gun in the box and shot Enzo

May 29th, 1985 - Maurice hid a gun in the box and shot Enzo

After Maurice Washington kept harassing Muffy Marshall at the frontdesk of Davis PD, Muffy told Enzo and he said he would deal with it. Next time he saw Maurice was when he ran into him while Maurice was being being escorted to the cells. Enzo used the opportunity to talk to him. It escalated and Enzo threatened him.

Some time had already passed and Maurice comes to Davis PD and he's just standing with his back facing the front desk. Enzo was already anticipating that Maurice would try to do something, so he had his gun already out and was ready to shoot if he had to. When Maurice came into the lobby he was holding a box in his hand. First thing that came into Enzo's mind was that it may have been a possible bomb in the box. Enzo said, "Is that a f-ing bomb?", to which Maurice replied, "Yeah, nah, it's a box playa, i got a deli-delivery for yo ass" and then he shot Enzo once in the badge and took 2 more shots before running away.

Maurice tried to escape in a car, but as soon as he started running, Bonnie, Tex, and Poppy chased after him and shot him down.

Enzo was transported to the hospital and an X-Ray picture was taken, revealing that he had a hairline fractured sternum.

For the rest of the day he had breathing difficulties, but there were no lasting repercussions.

After the incident he asked around and found out that if Maurice comes in to the front lobby with a box again, he can just shoot him down in fear for his life.

Enzo, Ace, and Joe Marino pitched the idea of a Union to Harper

June 2nd, 1985 to June 3rd, 1985 - Enzo, Ace, and Joe Marino pitched the idea of a Union to Harper

June 2nd

Enzo, joined by the other captains Ace Bishop (initially his idea) and Joe Marino, tried to create a Union that would represent all members of the police department.

They revised their plan before inviting Chief Tiffany Harper to the rooftop of Davis PD to present their idea and get initial feedback for the foundament of the Union. She was opposing the notion of a Union forming because she believed that it was an attempt to undermine the authority and requested a clear plan and understanding of the Union's structure written on paper before considering it. The discussion concluded abruptly with Harper declaring, "This conversation is over," and leaving the situation unresolved until paperwork is provided.

During a girls night out, Harper and other female officers coincidentally encountered Enzo and Joe Marino at Premium Deluxe Motorsport, where Enzo was looking to purchase a bike. Playfully confrontational exchanges ensued between Enzo, Joe and the girls. Later on they crossed paths again at Bennys while Enzo was customizing the bike, and Joe was also present. Tensions slowly escalated between Enzo and Muffy over the absence of proper paperwork, leading to their short fallout due to them butting heads.

Union was proposed at the LSPD shift meeting aswell. It received backlash from a couple of officers, Malcolm Nolan even calling it "communism".

June 3rd

The following day, Enzo woke up to yet another dramatic situation unfolding on the rooftop, with Lionel Riggs and Ace Bishop engaged in a heated argument. As Enzo attempted to understand the situation and listen attentively, the topic of the Union emerged, triggering Riggs to unleash a barrage of insults towards everybody opposing him, even labeling Enzo as an "idiot" for attempting to establish a Union while being a Captain. It almost lead to Riggs firing Bishop. Riggs claimed that such a move would diminish the power of command members, including Enzo. Just to try and prove a point, he said, "If I wasn't an Ass Chief, I would be trying to start a Union now. Let that be factored into your decision making" and, "Because then I'd become the Union president and everybody knows that Union presidents are the best gig to have"

Faced with significant resistance, Enzo couldn't shake the feeling that the idea was only serving to further divide the department. Consequently, he made a decision during the LSPD shift meeting to personally withdraw himself from participating in the creation of the Union.

Enzo and Muffy's wedding day

July 19th, 1985 - Enzo and Muffy's wedding day

WeddingInvitation

Enzo and Muffy
sent out wedding invitations beforehand,
stating that the wedding would happen
on July 19th at 10 PM EST.

Before going to sleep, Enzo had written Muffy a letter to try and calm her down about the wedding. Enzo woke up on the day of his wedding with a hangover from drinking five bottles of tequila at home last night. When he woke up just three hours before the wedding, he called the Davis PD for a pick-up, and Norway answered. However, by miraculous timing, Tommy DeAngelo rang the bell. Enzo answered the door, and Tommy gave Enzo a ride instead. Enzo could barely walk straight. He explained that he drank because yesterday was his last day of freedom.

EnzoHangover

They both went to a clothing store
to get Enzo's wedding clothes ready, as Enzo was still wearing a
Hawaiian shirt, shorts, and slides.
They managed to buy Enzo a three piece wedding suit.

Tommy went to the PD to inform Muffy about the situation and, as a saving grace, told her that it's bad luck for the bride and groom to see each other before the wedding, so she didn't see the state Enzo was in. Then they went to Salieri's, and there, Tommy had the idea for Enzo to submerge his head in the fountain near Salieri's to help him get through the hangover.

After Tommy was done fitting his tuxedo, Enzo decided to put on the clothes he wore after he woke up, to play a prank on Muffy and act more hungover than he was. They drove back to the PD, and Enzo expected a different reaction, but surprisingly, Muffy was understanding, calm, and supportive.

Tired of seeing Enzo miserable, she took him to the PD showers. Enzo, in his hungover state, struggled to apply the eye drops for his bloodshot eyes, missing eight drops before finally applying them.

While they were still at the PD, Muffy's mom, Dolores, came to see her, and coincidentally, it was the first time Enzo met her parents. Or atleast he thought so. It turns out that Dolores had met Enzo before at their house but mistook him for hired help. Dolores even asked if Enzo was a pervert because when she met him, he was in his boxers and almost got naked in front of her. She also couldn't remember the pronunciation of his name correctly and kept calling him Enno, Nintendo or Elmo.

They all went to pick up Muffy's father, Jim, at the airport, but he wasn't there. Eventually, they found him at the PD. Jim accepted Enzo and even liked him, while Dolores did not. Jim and Enzo had a conversation in which he gave Enzo advice on how to deal with Dolores.

EnzoMuffyWedding

The wedding ceremony
took place in the middle of the street
at the intersection of
Rockford Drive and Carcer Way.

It was a special place because that's where Muffy admitted she was attracted to Enzo and had a crush on him. Both Enzo and Muffy didn't write any vows. They weren't asked them anyways.

They were wedded by Wade Douglas, with Boblyn serving as the ringbearer, presenting two partially melted chocolate rings and saying that they didn't give him proper rings. Boblyn was also responsible of taking care of getting the buses ready to take guests to the reception location.

WeddingReception

After the wedding, they all got onto
five parked buses to head to the tunnels,
with Enzo leading in the first bus.
The wedding guests were not informed that it would take place there.

Unfortunately, Enzo accidentally hit a railing, and the engine of one of the buses gave out. Thankfully, Gio's bus was mostly empty. But then another bus's engine gave out, and it blocked the path for the others. So they had to run to the construction site where the reception would take place. Some guests were lucky and had roller skates with them, which helped them get there faster.

At the reception, D-side records performed. Enzo and Muffy had their first dance to the song "Punani". When everyone left the buses, Muffy's father left her mother in the tunnel. However, Boblyn picked her up later. Despite that, she still missed Muffy's first dance.

Other artists also performed, and everyone had a great time talking to each other. However, things took a turn when Tony kidnapped Boblyn at gunpoint, causing the crowd to disperse slowly. Barb informed Enzo and Muffy that there was an "anti-PD hell week" happening, and most of the cops were present at the reception, so it was not safe to stay there.

Despite the challenges and mishaps, Enzo and Muffy's wedding day turned out to be memorable, with a mix of chaotic moments and moments filled with fun.
