General Information[]

Chase McClaine is the Ex-Chief and an Officer for the LSPD, Badge #224.

Backstory[]

Chase McClaine was born and raised in a small town in Florida, named Sebastian. Growing up, Chase had a very strong relationship with his father who was also a police officer. Chase heard about the struggles with crime and poverty from his father. Hearing his father's stories solidified in Chase's mind that he wanted to make a difference, just like his father. He truly dedicated himself to the police calling shortly after his father died in the line of duty. After graduating high school, he moved to the big city of Miami. There he enrolled in the police academy and began his career as a cadet learning how to be a real police officer at the ripe age of 18 years old. He quickly proved himself to be a dedicated and skilled officer, as he worked his way up the ranks.

As he gained experience, he became increasingly involved in the fight against organized crime, and the movement of drugs throughout the city. Chase played a key role in several high-profile cases. In recognition of his contributions, he was promoted to the rank of officer, and later to the rank of sergeant. After several years of outstanding service, McClaine was appointed as the Chief of Miami. He took the job with a sense of mission, determined to make the city a safer place for all its citizens. Under his leadership, the department has implemented a number of new initiatives to combat crime and build stronger ties with the community. As Chief, McClaine gained a reputation as a no-nonsense leader who is not afraid to take on the toughest challenges. He earned the respect and trust of his officers, as well as the people of Miami, and he was committed to continuing to work tirelessly to make the city a better place for all. Later on in his career, things started to slow down in the department as the population in Miami started to decrease and crime ultimately came to a halt. So McClaine decided to retire from the department and what he thought to be policing for good,

Shortly after that, McClaine moved out west to the great city of Los Santos. There he started as a lone Post-OP worker trying to make a couple extra bucks to add onto his pension. During his short time at Post-OP, when Chase was on his route in Mirror Park, he saw some people dealing crack. Then when he was doing his later route down by the Davis area, he got in the middle of a shoot-out where they stole his truck from him and all of the packages inside of it. Later on, that day, McClaine was fired from Post-OP and took a cab back to his motel near the Davis area. On the way back, McClaine saw officers outside of the Davis Police Station and it reminded him of the times he had with his department in Miami, and he realized he needed to be back in the field, protecting innocent people from the hands of crime. McClaine then put in an application for the Los Santos Police Department and was accepted as the Chief of Police. During his time as chief, McClaine was given the opportunity to run several successful investigations and drug busts where he earned the nickname "Gumshoe" McClaine was reassigned back to a solo cadet because his Chief of Police position was open for reelection, and he was not revoted in. His alternate, Eva Keith was voted into power and knowing that McClaine was a strong force in the LSPD demoted him to a Solo Cadet, so she didn't have to worry about him becoming the chief again. Therefore, he is re-climbing his way through the ranks to decriminalize the city and bring a stop to the war on drugs.
