Early Life
Benjamin was born on November 17th 1957, in the city of Philadelphia. Ben would grow up in a family of 4 with him being the youngest out of 2 boys. Growing up times were hard on young Ben and his family. His father was a disabled war veteran from the 2nd world war and with him not being able to provide for his family it left Bens mother and his older brother Matt with the responsibility of keeping the family financially stable. However with the entry of the United States into the Vietnam war Bens brother found himself being one of the young men selected in the draft to be sent to Vietnam. Bens brother would unfortunately never make it back home, he was sadly killed in action during the brutal Tet Offensive in 1968. This left Ben with a huge responsibility on his back, he was determined to help his family in any way possible. Ben would finish school all while working at the local post office and would eventually find a proper job selling cars at a local dealership. Although the job provided solid income Bens career as a salesman started off rough. In his first few years both of his parents would sadly pass away from old age which would take a heavy toll on Ben and it eventually reflected in his work. But nonetheless he was determined not to let his family down and would vow to bring success and wealth into his family.
Recent Life
As Bens career unfolded he would come into contact with some very wealthy customers and would often ask them what they’re professions were. He would get the basic answers like lawyers, or some kind of company CEO, but one particular answer caught him off guard. One of Bens customers had told him “I dont have a job, when you live on the West Coast the money comes to you.. you just have to know how to get it.” After hearing that and taking time to reflect on his life, Ben started to realize that being a salesman wont bring him the success that he wants nor will it help him achieve his ultimate goal in life. In August of 1985 at the age of 28 Ben would make the life changing decision of scrapping up whatever savings he had and move to the West Coast. Ben didn’t want to just move to any city in the west, he wanted to go somewhere where he had the best opportunity at fulfilling his goal and becoming successful. After some hard consideration he would ultimately choose a bustling city right on the coast which he thought was the perfect place to start his new life. Ben packed his belongings, purchased plane tickets, and off he went. His new journey begins in the great city of Los Santos.
