I hope you are all well. As you more active users may have noticed the two Admins we have are not active on the wiki. I have been helping on this wiki for about three months now and have been wanting to help further for quite awhile now but have been unsuccessful with reaching the current admins.

I wanted to reach out to you all to see how you all felt about me trying to adopt this wiki. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

May need to add the same headers that NP has on their pages stating to not put any false or unconfirmed information on the wiki pages(see pic as an example), as it seems some of the info for some people are not correct and or unconfirmed.

I come bearing another totally tubular template!

Template:Player Navbox has been customized to allow you to create a navbox template for any roleplayer (and all their characters they play) so it can be displayed on all of their character pages! I may do more style tweaking to it (and am very open to suggestions of the like), but it's currently in a functional state and doesn't horrible (at least I think).

Usage is very simple; you place the template, give it one named parameter which is the player's name (you can optionally make this a link to their Twitch), and then you specify an unset number of unnamed parameters which are that player's characters.

Here's an example of one I made at Template:Navbox Spaceboy :

|player=[https://twitch.tv/spaceboy Spaceboy]

|Albert Rickenbacker
|James Randal
}}

After placing that template code in it's own template for the player, I can then place

{{Navbox Spaceboy}}

on the bottom of any of Spaceboy's character pages, and something like the following will display:

From that point on, you only need update the template for that specific player's navbox with new characters, and they will appear on every page it has already been placed on.

As an added bonus, this navbox will sort characters into 4 tabs based on their status in character infobox; "Active", "Inactive", "Deceased", & "Other" ("Other" as a fallback if for some reason any of the other 3 statuses are not found).

Again, the styling of the navbox may be passable at the moment, but may not be perfect, so I'm very open to suggestions because I am okay at the codes but not the pretties.

I just finished porting in the Tabs Template!

It might be too early in most storyline progressions to need this template, but maybe I'm wrong. However, it's here if you need it!

The template page has a working example and explains in greater detail how to use it, but the gist of it is that when a page has a large amount of content, you can create subpages of that page and link to them on each subpage and the main page using this template to create easy and clean navigation tabs.

For example, there may be a character called Trey Treble who's page has 15 different sections that, among other things, includes a gallery (containing in-game screenshots, fanart, videos, and some of Trey's original music), all the cars Trey has ever owned (complete with pictures and everything about them), all the businesses Trey has played a role in (Trey is an enTREYpreneur with a rich history of many self-owned and partnered business endeavors), and all of Trey's character arcs (in excruciating detail). You can probably see how this page—while very well constructed and absolutely gorgeous, is becoming both a lot for users to scroll through, and a pain for editors to sift through all the source code and maintain.

It's time for Trey Treble to have some subpages to split up all that information.

Trey's main page would be:

https://igniteroleplay.fandom.com/wiki/Trey_Treble

Trey could then have a subpage for their character arcs that would be:

https://igniteroleplay.fandom.com/wiki/Trey_Treble/Arcs

Trey could also have a subpage for their vast business info that would be:

https://igniteroleplay.fandom.com/wiki/Trey_Treble/Business

...and so on. Already, a ton of content has been removed from Trey's main page and is no longer crowding it up. At this point, on each of Trey's pages, you can place the Tabs template like so:

And now you have organized navigation tabs like this:

Specifying tab1, Trey's main page, is optional and defaults to "Overview", and the current page is highlighted.

As I said, I don't know if any pages are at this point yet, but the navigation tools are now here for you to use if you should need/choose, and more details can be found here on the template page.

Hey everyone!

I know not everyone knows this, but there are 2 templates that you can use on pages that make organization much easier.

The first template is {{Stub}} : you can can simply place the Stub template at the top of any page that is a work-in-progress—usually pages with little information—and this will place that page in the "Stubs" category. This allows editors to view that category and easily see which pages could use some work as well as displays a notice on the page itself.

The second template is {{Delete}} : sometimes we create a page and then later realize it isn't needed. Sometimes, for instance, if the page was simply misnamed, you can use the "Move" button to change the title of the page, and if there are no other pages linking to that page, you can uncheck the "Leave a Redirect Behind" box so that the current page will be completely removed after the title change. Other times, however, you may simply blank a page that was made in error or is no longer needed. Since only moderators and admins can manually delete pages, this is where the {{Delete}} template comes in. You can simply replace the content of the page with {{Delete}} on its own, or with an optional reason like so {{Delete|I created this page by mistake.}} . This will place the page in the "Candidates for deletion" category to make it easier for wiki moderators and admins to see what needs to be deleted later.

I noticed that there are multiple templates people are using for characters. There is the character infobox and the advanced character info. Is there one in particular that we want to collectively use?
